Concert in Chicago: Cabinet of Curiosities with TE/MO, Spacely and others

TE/MO Concert Cabinet of Curiosities

When TE/MO announced their first concert, it was clear to me: I have to go to Chicago. Against all odds, I actually made it to the Windy City for two days to accompany Teagan at her Event Cabinet of Curiosities . The concert was also a Halloween party and took place on October 30.

An unparalleled concert

Teagan has achieved at her first concert what many established artists cannot. Without the help of a label or booking agent, she has set up a program that would make experienced bands green with envy. In the afternoon there was a meet and greet for fans. There was the full program for them: sound check, photos, signed posters and special autograph cards. I was allowed to design and print the latter for Teagan.

When the doors opened for the event at 6 p.m., JS. Doopaah. In addition, two artists showed off their skills on stilts and juggling. Teagan himself walked through the audience in disguise and handed out tarot cards. Shortly before the program really started, there was a costume competition.

Spacely and TE/MO Live

Spacely played his first concert as the opening act. Spacely is the music project of JP Warner, Teagan's producer and co-writer. His music revolves mainly around the topic of mental health and is stylistically reminiscent of Starset. JP is not only a talented songwriter, but also a great singer. He proved this at the concert, where he took the audience on a sci-fi journey during his first live performance as Spacely.

Finally, it was time for TE/MO. She played her entire double EP TAROT UPRIGHT & REVERSED, songs from the MOTHER EP as well as a few surprises for her fans. Teagan's performance and energy on stage are unparalleled and the energy of the audience reflected that. Costume changes, acoustic sessions, dance and acting interludes – TE/MO Live delivers everything your heart desires.

Special Guests en Masse

Teagan lives for collaborations. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that she has also invited some special guests for her first concert. Directly for her first song, DEVIL, she brought singer and songwriter as well as content creator Casper Fox Høybye on stage. Casper also played piano for an emotional acoustic version of MOTHER I. Teagan's partner Joey Chelius was also able to show his musical talent. He played guitar for some songs.

Teagan performed THE TOWER together with JP Warner. Their new cover version of The Cranbarries' Zombie with Peter Barber could also be heard live – together with Peter, of course. Last but not least, all EPIC fans got their money's worth: Teagan sang an acoustic version of Athena's Warrior of the Mind, together with content creators Mortius and Meadow.

TE/MO on the rise

With this concert, Teagan has proven that she already has a lot to offer as an indie artist. Every label can count itself lucky to win her as an artist. I've met and worked with many musicians, and Teagan is right at the top with her willingness to work, her creativity and her talent. No wonder that she is already being compared to Lzzy Hale from Halestorm by people who see her concert photos.

For my part, I can't wait to see what's next for TE/MO. And next year there will be new promo material from me.
