Tanzania trip through three national parks

Giraffes in the Serengeti in Tanzania

I always travel a lot, but nothing has been as spectacular as my safari through Tanzania at the beginning of the year. Together with a safari group, I drove through three national parks and saw more than 30 different animal species. In just one trip, we saw Africa's Big Five: elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards and water buffaloes.

Tangire and the Serengeti

Our safari first took us to Tangire National Park, which is best known for its large elephant population. And in fact, we saw at least 30 to 40 elephants, some of them right next to our car.

The next day we went to the Serengeti. There were mainly hippos and giraffes to observe. But we also found leopards – even in a tree. The picture I was able to take of it will always mean a lot to me, because it was my absolute dream motif.

Of course, there were also lions and cheetahs to watch. In addition, the beginning of January was already the beginning of the great migration, which is why hundreds of zebras and wildebeest were already grazing in the Serengeti.

In the Ngorogoro Crater

Most recently, we drove through the Ngorogoro crater for a day. There we were able to observe mainly water buffaloes. We also actually got to see rhinos; even if only from afar.

The pictures from my trip to Tanzania will soon be available as prints in my shop . There you will already find four different calendars – because there are simply too many good pictures to limit yourself to twelve. If you have a calendar request, for example for a certain animal species, feel free to write to me.
